UPDATE: This ain't Mazatlan. -_- It's a picture of "Lover's Beach" in Cabo San Lucas. This is proof that your brains really turn to mush on vacation, and that it's really, really important to fact check things before you upload them for the world to see.

Taken from a cruise ship leaving what I thought was Mazatlan, Mexico (it was actually Cabo San Lucas). It really was a strange looking sky- it actually did look that pink in real life.

The sky of Mazatlan is usually with that kind of colors at sunset.
one thing I might suggest you experiment next time is contrast- increase dark values a bit? and maybe make the colors slightly richer?
while it's quite nice and all it seems a tad flat

a tiny splash wouldn't hurt but it's nice that your trying to stick to natural photos
